I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing individual, couples and family therapy, and group therapy at a reputable private practice, Integrity Counseling & Coaching in Largo, FL.
I have 10 years of experience in the human services field in a variety of counseling, case management, and supervisory positions in outpatient and residential treatment centers, public health, government agency, and private practice settings. I am a graduate of the University of South Florida specializing in Rehabilitation & Mental Health Counseling, and I am currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Some of my areas of specialization include anxiety and depression, substance abuse and addictions, career counseling, disability-related concerns, borderline personality traits, and gay and lesbian concerns.
In addition to my work as a therapist, I provide professional training on human services-related topics, having presented for agencies and companies such as the Pinellas Juvenile Welfare Board, Boley Centers for Behavioral Healthcare, Nielsen Media Research, Pinellas Marine Institute, and St. Petersburg College. I also write articles and best practice guidelines on a range of clinical topics and have been published in Addiction Professional (the magazine for NAADAC, the Association for Addictions Professionals), the Florida Borderline Personality Disorder Association newsletter, and the Tampa Tribune.
I am a cognitive behavioral therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. My therapeutic approach is eclectic, transtheoretical, multidisdiplinary, and evidence-based.
